The Tall Ships Races Sunderland 2018 may be a once in a generation opportunity for our city. We need your help to make it happen, and in return you will be rewarded with rich memories of being a part of something special.

There will be roles for at least 300 people which will include:

  • Ship Liaison Officer – You will be key point of contact for assigned ship’s captain and crew and ensure they have everything they require from arrival through to departure
  • Technical Liaison Officer – Technically skilled, you will be a constituent member of the ship greeting party as they arrive at The Port of Sunderland. You will be the first point of contact for ships urgent or technical issues
  • Event Support – A busy and high profile role supporting the event and race organising teams, you will help run the media, crew and volunteer centres
  • Event Coordinator – duties may include; decorating the event space, welcoming visitors, reuniting lost people with their parties, distributing information, selling merchandise, organising crew activities and escorting guests and media
